Halloween

Halloween this year was so much fun!! My good friend Cynthia and I decided to theme the kids' costumes, and Jonathon really wanted to be Bowser, so that was our theme. Jonathon was Bowser, Hunter Mario, and Brooklyn was Princess Peach. We made each of the costumes so we were both very proud about how they turned out. Personally, I think I got off easy with just making a princess dress. Take a look at the Bowser costume, Cynthia spent so much time on it and it turned out great. I think Hunter made the perfect Mario too! They were all three so cute!

The dads walking with the kids. Nick was the thing that strikes fear into all other football teams. He was a Stealers man. Drew went as the trendy internet social network Facebook. We wrote BOOK on his face. Sorry no picture of that. I had to work, so I went as a kitty. By the end of the day my whiskers and nose were pretty much rubbed off.
Right when the picture took this other kid got right in front of Hunter. The three of them looked so cute getting their candy together. I don't think a lot of the parents got the whole Mario theme, but the kids knew who they all were.
They're almost ready to go!!!

I may be bias, but I think she made the cutest Princess Peach!!!

Yes, she still does the cheesy smile when I take pictures. She was very excited to finally wear her Princess Peach. I finished making it a few weeks before Halloween, but I wouldn't let her play with it. It's a good thing too cause that night when we were taking it off, she stepped on the hem and riped a big hole in it. At least it was on the hem so it's an easy fix.
All in all we had a fantastic Halloween! Brooklyn is still asking me if she can go trick-or-treating and get candy!

What a Week!!

This past week has been very exciting in our house! For starters, we began potty training, again, last Friday. Brooklyn has done amazing. She's only had a few accidents and is getting very good at going into the bathroom on her own and calling for us when she needs help. I'm so proud of her!

She still loves my boots! (there's also a small sneak peak at her Princess Peach costume for Halloween. I'll post pictures of her in it after Halloween, so you'll just have to be patient!)

A big incentive to get her to use the potty was stickers. She has her very own potty book that she gets to fill with stickers after she's gone potty. Now that she's doing so well we've been just letting her play with the stickers.

In other happy news... I'm HALFWAY!!!!

20 weeks! I missed a few weeks so I look huge from the last picture.
We had our big ultrasound this past Tuesday. The baby is looking great and everything is measuring fabulous as of now. The doctor says it's gonnna be a tall baby!
And the result is....

We are so happy to be having another little girl! Brooklyn is going to be such a great big sister. I think she knew the whole time it was going to be a girl, that's why she was always calling it "baby sitter".
I'm happy that I can finally start all my projects and planning. Hopefully I'll have them all done and ready by the time our little girl arrives.

So Cute!

I went in to check on her before I got in bed and this is what I found. Her unicorn is her new favorite toy and she carries it everywhere with her. PS... It's almost taller than she is!
video

I know it's really short, but here's a quick video of Brooklyn singing to Hercules.

Funnest Girl Ever!

Brooklyn is at such a fun age right now, and we are loving it! We were at Walmart the other day and decided to get stuff to make Halloween cookies. I tried them out one night last week and let Brooklyn help decorate.

She loves having her tongue change colors, and we used black frosting!

Of course, she just licked the frosting off the cookies.

I told her she had to eat the cookie too, not just the frosting. This is her sad face.

She didn't listen to me anyway. By the end the ghost had just traces of frosting on it and only about 2 tiny bites taken out.

We bought Halloween sprinkles, but Brooklyn was playing with them and we couldn't find them when it came time to decorate. Can you tell that she did the witch all by herself?

She was such a big help and had so much fun helping me with these ones. She kept trying to eat the frosting off while we were using it.

Brooklyn loves this dress! It's so cute on her too, not that I'm bias or anything.

I wanted a nice picture and of course, I got the cheesy smile!

Her Halloween costume from last year still fits her and she loves wearing it!
Her new thing is singing and it's so stinking cute! She'll sing to her movies and songs on the radio. I don't have a video yet, cause every time I grab out the camera she stops singing. I'll keep working on it though, and post one when I get it.

Batman Hair and Baby

I've been doing Brooklyn's hair since she was about 6 months old. I wanted her to be used to it so she wouldn't fight me on it when she got older. Well, it's now become quite the hastle to get her to sit still long enough for me to get more than just a plain pony tail done. The day we had Drew's birthday party I wanted to do her hair more fun, but when I asked her if I could do her hair, she threw her hands over her head and ran out of the room. After a few minutes she came back into the living room and said, "Mommy, Brooklyn wants Batman hair." I then asked her if I could give her Batman hair and she climbed right up on the couch and sat there for 10 minutes while I did her hair! She told everyone at the party that she had Batman hair and was very proud of it, so now she gets Batman hair every day. (Mind you it's not one set look, we just tell her it's Batman hair and she's happy!)

Here is her first Batman hair. She wanted me to take a picture of it.

This is right before bed, so it's falling out a bit, but you get the idea.
Onto Baby. Drew wanted me to post some pictures of our newest family member, so here they are. We had the first ultrasound when I was 12&1/2 weeks, so it looks a lot different than out first picture of Brooklyn. (I was only 7&1/2 weeks with her)

It looks just like a baby. I love how its just chillin. You can see the legs and arms.

We also decided to document my growth this time around. We somehow lost all our pictures of me prego with Brooklyn, so we're gonna try again with this one.
This is me at 14 weeks.

The Park

This summer, Brooklyn's favorite place to go has been the park. There is so much for her to do there and trust me, she makes sure she does everything.

She plays in the water,

She doesn't really like it when there are a ton of bigger kids running around splashing, so we try and go a little later at night when they are all eating dinner. That way she'll actually get closer to the water playground.
She goes down the slides, (if you look really close you can see that her tongue is sticking out)

She tries to climb the trees, (look again and you can see her tongue out again!)

She learned to ride the carousel all by herself!
As you can see, we have lots of fun at the park. Drew takes her to the park just about every day and she loves it! They are having so much fun together while he's out of school. He has to start back next week though, so they better play hard!
